Day One

Well, technically it's day one of the kitchen remodel. The contractor came with his two guys this morning, they are ripping up the floor.

We've been working on it a while already though, so it really doesn't feel like the first day.

Doing our research on appliances and materials. Shopping around for good deals. Making to do lists and trying to get ourselves organized.

This past weekend we cleaned, scrubbed, moved out old appliances and all the things that usually stay "out" in the kitchen - like the toaster and the like. We ordered the new appliances and painted sample colors on the wall.

We're making progress...
